posted about 4 years ago by CityofMoore
Property owners can get information on how to repair or rebuild their homes and businesses while improving energy efficiency and storm resistance by attending a free Rebuild Expo hosted by the City of Oklahoma City.
The Saturday event will run from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., August 3 at the Westmoore High School Common Area, 12613 S Western. A series of presentations begins at noon.
The expo was organized to help those who are rebuilding homes or businesses in areas affected by the May storms, but anyone who is considering building a home can get information.
“Several organizations will be under one roof to answer questions homeowners have about rebuilding,” T.O. Bowman, program coordinator for Oklahoma City’s Office of Sustainability said. “Types of information offered will include energy efficient construction, consumer protection, water quality and health concerns, as well as personal examples of resilient recoveries from tornado-damaged communities like Joplin, MO and Greensburg, KS.”
